Nursing homes are a unique legal setting. Nursing homes are obligated to provide a special level of care and protection for each resident. There are several steps to take when dealing with elder abuse in Wisconsin nursing homes. You, as a resident, family member, friend, caregiver, volunteer or advocate need to know the steps you can take to report, remedy and prevent elder abuse.
